The Campaign for Reader Privacy is a joint initiative of the American Library Assocation, the American Booksellers Association, the Association of American Publishers, and PEN American Center.
The web site was designed to educate people about Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act which gives the government the right to view our library, bookstore and other similar records without showing having to demonstrate just cause.
The site is built using table-less CSS-Positioning and Java Server Pages (JSP) to create a modular, easily-updated architecture.
The site also includes:
- Custom illustrated iconography.
- An online petition captured and stored in a MySQL database.
- News and Information archives.
